Clunk...... 96 850GLT AT shifts hard from 3 to 4 CLUNK 850

I have a high mileage (210,000) 96 GLT in well maintained condition, but when this car shifts into high gear under high RPMs (well maybe 3500 rpms)there is a hard clunk. Especially when the car is going uphill it is more pronounced.
I just would like some ideas before I hear the verdict from my dealer or a Transmission place. I know I need to get the tranny fluid changed and the tranny adjusted, but I was suspicious that I might need some tranny mounts or something like that. The fluid is nice and reddish and has no bad smell to it. Overal the car shifts as it should except for the last one into high gear under pressure.

Thanks - Marty
