Which models have head airbags? Are there different types in Volvo depending upon year?

After reading how well Honda and Camry's with head protection air bags did in the side crash test, I would like my next "new" used car to have head protection air bags. I thought Volvo had them starting in 1998 or 1999, but Edmunds.com says "not available" under "Safety" but mentions them in the write up starting in 1999. Have the type of head protection air bags changed from 1999 to say 2002?
