storing the brick - tips? 850 1996

Dan--disconnect the battery, whether it's weak or new. The security system and the radio (though off) will drain it. Leastways, it did on my 97 850 wagon with a brand new Volvo battery in it. I shipped mine from the States to Norway, and when it arrived in its cargo container the battery was dead dead dead. I also had it go dead twice in a friend's garage during a six month storage prior to shipping. Where or however you store it, make sure it's in a position where you can get at the engine if you have to. I had a hellava job getting to the front of the car in the shipping container because of the narrowness of the container. I should have backed it in. Something to remember. Dick
