Man Trans grinding into reverse only 850

Man Trans in 94 850 grinding into reverse only- all other gears shift fine.

Reverse is not playing nicely.

Have tried starting car in nuetral, pressing clutch, waiting a few seconds for trans internals to slow & then shifting into nuetral.

This method worked fine at first. Then after going back and forth in the driveway a few times. Everything went sour again. No amount of waiting - or technique will get the trans into reverse without grinding....

Any ideas??
