Front Strut Support Brace on 1998 S70 with Sport Suspension S70

I have a 1998 Volvo S70 which was purchased new in April of 1998. The car was ordered from the factory with the optional sports suspension.

Recently I had my Volvo serviced. Since the time that it was serviced, I happened to notice that the front strut support on my Volvo is missing.

Of course the repair shop doesn't know anything about it and the part shop at the dealer does not have any information about this part. They do have information about a dealer installed strut support for variable pressure shocks that became available a few years back.

Admittedly, I am approaching my senior years. However, I am pretty positive that my Volvo came with a front strut support brace.

Can someone confirm this for me?

Thanks,
Bob in Atlanta
