Oil Filter 850

The filter has no aluminum washer. The washer is for the drain plug. There is almost as much talk about these washers as there is about synthetic oil :) In reality, I've been using the same one I got when I bought the car new (now almost 50K miles and I usually change oil at 5K to 10K intervals). Never a leak. I don't really don't think it is that big of a deal. I usually flip mine around (if I rmember) and re-use it. I have a few of these wahsers next to my pallet of filters, but have yet to use one. Just change your oil, re-use the washer and get on with life.

Best of luck!
