Fuel Filter as easy as it sounds? 850 1992

When I changed my fuel filter, the bracket broke.
I managed to arrange a temporary brace from a flat battery
cable bought at the nearest gas station - to drive to the dealer
to buy a new bracket. But that was the only complication.
