Occasional fuel odour/ thermostat/ fuel mileage. 850

If you have a wagon pull up the rear decking (above the
spare) and check that area for a fuel leak. Same for a
sedan, I guess (but with a wagon you would be more likely
to smell it). I recall posts where people had fuel leaks
in that area.

Thermostats last about 70K miles. This site has

I currently get 25 mpg driving mostly highway. It was around
20 when my driving was 50% highway.

Diesel is $2.45 / gallon here in the S.F. Bay Area (premium is
$2.35)! Today, that is. Tomorrow it will be more. Overall,
I'm pretty happy with my milage considering the cars size and the
actual amount of power on tap on my S70 T5.
