Starting trouble with 2000 XC V70-XC70 2000

After 55,000 trouble free miles we have been plagued for months with two recent problems. The first problem was a subtle hesitation in the engine when traveling at highway speeds. Dealer diagnosed it as a problem with the Electronic Throttle Module and replaced it at $900+. Problem appears to be solved. Second and yet to be resolved problem occurs when starting the car. Engine cranks normally, but RPMs don't settle to idle rate, car stalls and may not restart for 10+ minutes. Does not occur at regular intervals, sometimes car is warm, sometimes cold. Any thoughts?
