Auto trans shifting to lower gear 850 1997

I had that happen to me and had the throttle position sensor replaced. Since the tranny is electronicly controlled, if this sensor goes out, the tranny does not know the engine speed. I was getting kickdown shifts on the interstate...at low speeds...felt like a bucking bronco at times, at it's worst in cold weather.

Changed the sensor and the car is a smooth shifting machine again.
