Noise in dash V70-XC70 1999

Hope it isn't this, but these are notorious for having the attachments for the dash to the body break. Especially on turbo models. Mine happened before the warranty was up. They put in an entire new dashboard (the frame under the dash pads). Was no charge as was warranty. Do not even want to know what it would have cost.

Phil's fix, which is not for the dash/body problem, is what I did for another car that had simple wire/parts touching problems.
