bulb/relay question 850 1994

My low beams fail intermittently (both at once), usually when dimming from high, so I suspect the relay. Neither owner's nor Haynes manual shows which relay is which. Would this be the bulb failure relay (and which one is that) or the large relay marked "light control relay?" Do I need to buy the service manual for this relatively minor problem? By the way the center brake light does not work (bulb OK), and the bulb failure light comes on for that one but not when the low beams aren't working.
