Idle drop and A/C S80 2000

We just spent about $1200 to "fix" this problem. They first replaced the air mass sensor - oops, sorry that $400. didn't fix it. When the car died 2 days after getting it out of the shop, they then replaced the throttle body -$800. Time will tell if it's actually fixed. We were seeing a surge of about 100 rpm when the car was in idle and the a/c on. Then it started lurching and the rmp would jump 500rmp. Wish it would lurch itself off a cliff.
