1996 Volvo 850 Windshield Wiper Problem 850

Help...

The driver side front windshield wiper lifts off the window as it moves from right to left. It only clears about half of the window before lifting on the glass by just enough not to function. As it travels back left to right it touches the glass again in the middle of its motion.

I was advised to simply bend the arm a bit (toward the windshield) so that it has more pressure on the window. That does not seem to fix the problem.

Any ideas?
