Replacing fuel pump - do it yourself?? 850 1993

I just chaged mine a few weeks ago. I purchased the insert, not the whole pump assembly, so it was a little more involved. With the insert I purchased I needed to disassemble the fuel pump cartridge, remove the old pump, re solder a new wire conncection and reassemble the pump into the housing. If you wanted to make it simple, buy the whole assembly. This way you remove the whole unit, and drop in the new one. The only trick I would say that is important would be to lubricate the seal on the top of the tank when you reinstall the pump. I tried to put mine back together with out any vasiline, and it would not go. Once it was lubed up, it went together fine.
