I got codes!!!! 850

Went to autozone to download the codes from the OBDII and there where three. Actually just two, the O2 sensor hit twice. The O2 sensor has always been a problem. Now that the code is cleared, all I have to do is stomp on it one time and it will return. Never has affected the performance though. The other code was a 120. "The PCM has determined that a malfunction exists in the electrical circuit for the Throttle Position Sensor." Anyone know if this could be part of the problem. What is the TPS and what does it do? Please can someone help on this? BTW, ran fine on the trip to autozone and back...of course. It only acts up when my wife is in it. How do it know?
