Buying My first FWD Volvo S70

I am looking into breaking down and buying a (dare I say )Front wheel drive Volvo. I have lots of time in all of the oldies but now it is time for a newer car and I have gotten the bug for a S70. Please tell me what to look for when shopping and what to avoid. I know that all Volvos have their own quirks and I would like to know some of them before I buy. Also any tips to making it last like my good old 240.
