Fuel Door Release/Electrical problems S70

The fuel door might have a manual release inside the trunk.
Some later 98s did. My early 98 did not, but by pulling the inside
trunk panel you can see the mechanisim and easily open it
by hand (I connected a small wire from a cut up coat hanger and
made my own manual override). Images of how I did it at:

Of course, that does not address the problem. Is your car a 98?
They have a few problems with the electrical switches in the door.
Mostly the power window switch. For the window the fix is to
typically replace the switch in the door. Maybe the same thing
would work for the power lock.
