A/C problems-need ideas 850 1994

I am having the dreaded intermittent problems with my Climate Control A/C.Last year the following was replaced; high pressure hose, evaporator, compressor, various o rings, re-charges done. A week ago it was back at the dealer for the third time this season. I arrived at the dealer without A/C. The compressor was definitely not coming on. The mechanic came out and, using a small wire, he bypassed the compressor's relay switch, got it going, then it kept going for two days at the dealer's shop. I had it 2-3 days and it cut out again and hasn't been working for 4-5 days. Blowers work, heat works, no flashing lights. One time I accelorated dramically onto a highway and it suddenly came on, but then when I turned car off it wouldn't come back on. I haven't been able to trick it into coming on again using that method. I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the compressor not coming on (communication problems??)I'm soooo frustrated. My A/C problems have been going on for almost two years and major $$$$. I'm definitely not a mechanic but I feel I need some info. or ideas to nudge the dealer to do some in-depth diagnostic work. I'm taking it back Wed. 6/9--any suggestions for my service manager??
