1996 850R Stereo stays on with key removed 850 1996

Brickers,

I misplaced my owners manual so the answer may be in there.....it seems that after my 3 year old son spent some time playing in the car that the stereo now stays on after the car is turned off and the key is removed. Obviously this is only a problem because it drains the battery if I leave the car without turning off the stereo. So, it's either:

1. A button the stereo that he pressed, or
2. A faulty ingition switch but it's just so coincidental that the problem started after he was playing in there.

Needless to say I'll be finding somewhere else for him to play from now on.

Please help before I forget to turn it off, get stranded and need to replace the battery.

Thanks,

Steve J
