I really cant offer any helpful advise on getting your S70 sorted out-but-would suggest that you demand the old ecu unit to be given to you. Apparently--there was nothing wrong with the unit the dealer took out. Ask for it back and try to sell it on ebay to recoup some of the blood let at the dealer. Iv been down the road your on--ONCE-went to a local volvo dealer--thinking they could diagnos problems and fix what was needed--and found out later--they like to throw parts on cars and bleed you to death. Good luck and hang in there
