Front end 'Clank' 850

1995 850 Turbo, 200K miles.

When I turn the wheel, I notice a clank moise which sounds like to is comning out of the front wheel well because I can hear a slight echo. I've replaced the struts, tie rod ends, lower ball joints and control arm links about 1-1/2 years ago. I note the sound is coming from the left side, but maybe that's beacuse that's where I sit in the car.

This doesn't happen all the time however.

I checked the bushings on the steering cylinder and everything is tight and not moving.

I need to replace the right side ball joint (entire A-arm), but that's a more rattling sound as you go over bumps.

I'm thinking its the trans to front cross member engine mount becasue the sound happens once in a while when I shift out of park. Ordered the mount from FCP Groton for $28.

Any other thoughts or comments? You has ran into this before???

Thanks a bunch
