I new this would happen..... 850 1994

I received a coupon weeks ago for an all wheel alignement at one of the bigger Volvo dealerships here in town. The price was attractive and having NEVER had an all wheel alignment before thought I would go for it. I joked with the guys in my office that the dealership will likely site "other" problems and suggest that they can't procede until the repairs are done. Well, today I took it to the dealership and sure enough they showed great concern and listed new ball joints, tie rods, bushings etc before they could procede. Of course they also told me that my rear left tire had a belt that shifted. I politely told them to take the car off the hoist and to forget the repairs. I was not charged anything. Sheeesh! I immediatly drove over to my independent garage (Master Volvo Technicians) who have worked on the car for years and made an appointment for next week, just to check out EXACTLY what's up with the front end. Bottom line, there are no noticable noises or handling issues with my front end and I'm really curious if they find anything next week. Unbelievable!
