AWD questions V70-XC70

Prior to year 2001 definitely does not have the Haldex. 2001 also introduced the rounder S80-style body to the 70 series. Do a search on this model here on the BrickBoard for details. Don't know if 2001 also corresponds to the first year of Haldex AWD.

I was considering a v70 XC (2000), but didn't bite because of the finicky AWD. It has a nice interior layout, so I might still go for a FWD non-XC version(prior to 2001). Although the AWD do seem better balanced in handling. Reliability of the FWD 850/70 series has been better per Consumer Reports.

All of my comments pertain to before 2001 model year.
