HOLD IT!!! I am confused. Why are you lauding your dealer who would have stuck you for the whole $900, if you hadn't had the wisdom to do some research on the Brick Board?

What did Volvo NA know that your dealer did not know that caused NA to offer to pay for the module? That it was covered by some warranty? I would expect the dealer to know that. Looks to me like your dealer simply got caught trying to scam you out of $900, and he would have succeeded with most owners who have never heard of the Brick Board.

You should not have to end-run your dealer to NA just to get him to do what is right.

I could be wrong here; did I miss something?
