Trans fluid S70 2002

Took the car to the dealer to have the transmission oil replaced and was told it would cost $450 with synthetic fluid. I was and am soooo pissed at the thought of paying that much and left. How does the dealer do the replacement?
Could/should I have it done at any repair place that uses a machine to evacuate and replace the fluid for about $125 plus fluid? Is it difficult for the average person to do do via the Bay 13 method?

Car is at 55K mi which means the 60K sevice is due soon. Dealer said $775 for that service which didn't help my pissed state. Left the dealer and went driving around to look for Volvo shops.
Know of any good reasonable shops in the (323),(562),(626),(909) area codes?

thanks for any help
