Low oil level light 850 1993

Hello- After starting my '93 850 just a few minutes ago and driving off in it, I noticed that the "low oil level" warning light remained on for the ten minutes I was in the car. I know that all the warning lights are supposed to go off after starting the engine, but this light is giving me a bit of a scare. I changed the oil at 103k miles and the car now has 105.8k miles at the moment. I also checked the oil level through the dipstick and it appears just fine. What do you think is wrong here? According to the owner's manual it says that "if the lamp remains on even if the oil level is correct, the system should be checked by an authorized Volvo dealer."
