Barometer signal low S70 1998

Hi,

This corresponds to Volvo part no. 1275342. It measures 6 cm long and is angled at about 135°. The sensor communicates with the PCM through a 3 tab wire. It is attached (one bolt) to the right-hand inner wing, next to the windshield liquid reservoir. Replacing it takes less than one minute. Even though the part is very small, its costs about US $110. I believe that the sensor is only useful when one is driving at high altitudes.

Before buying the part, if you are able to erase the trouble code (turn off «check engine» light), you may try to clean the part with solvent, reinstall and see what happens.

Good luck.
