Sure would like to see what the air line attaches to at the other end. They appear to be adding air to the intercooler hoses, modified intercooler hoses I might add. My assumption would be that this is, for lack of a better term, a ram-air sort of modification. As we all know, our engines are somewhat controlled by air, almost like an air machine. The quicker air can get in and get out the faster the car will go. If you compress the air with a turbo charger, then you have more air molecules in the same space. If you add an intercooler before the turbo, you are now cooling the air, making the molecules contract together. Now the turbo is compressing "condensed" air. All of this equals more power. This set up uses many metal pipes, meaning no loss of boost because of hose flex, and looks to be adding even more air. I bet it's not cheap!
