Window Motor & Regulator Replacement S70 1998

Hi All:

My right front window will lower but will not raise on its own without assistance. I had it at the local Volvo dealership and was told I needed a new door motor/regulator. I was quoted $478.00 (part & Labor). The part cost was $357.83, which I'm sure was retail. This seems like a lot of $. Is this something a shadetree mechanic can take on themselves? Any help with where I might procure this part for a little less would also be appreciated. Thanks for your help.
