First impression on my 2004 S80 T6 S80

OK - I'm going to risk sounding pretty ignorant, but here goes . . . whenever I wax the car (once seasonally) I wax only the painted surface, never any chromed areas, whether steel or plastic. Can you, or are you, supposed to do that? By the way I'm 6'4" and the reason I originally picked the s80 over the other luxury vehicles is that it accomodated my height well . . . Fred
