Front End Work S70 1999

Not uncommon for these models at around 100K. I replaced my control arms (includes ball joints and bushings), tie rod ends, upper front strut mounts and sway bar links. It is very tight again after 110K miles. You might not need all these things, but I'll be they are all worn quite a bit and it's nice to get it all overwith if you can afford it. running with bad control arms can be dangerous cause if one breaks free you've lost control of your car and will at the very least cause severe damage to suspension...it is not common that a ball joint is that bad at your mileage though.
