Low batt, flashing light and horn when started (850 built-in alarm?) 850 1996

I am usually on the RWD section of the brick board and don't own and 850, but my son left he 850 with us while out of town. Seemed to turn over slower than should after sitting all night. Alternator is charging so looks like it needs new battery (I'll of course check all the connection first).

This morning tried to start and parking lights started flashing and got intermittent horn. I could not get it to stop until I exited the car and let it sit a couple of minutes. Does the 850 have a built in alarm, and if so, how do you turn the sucker off?

P.S. I don't think my neighbors enjoyed 3-5 minutes worth of noise at 6:45 AM.
