Am I nuts? Thinking to buy... V70-XC70 2000

I just looked at the Twin Cities market (carsoup.com) and the cheapest V70 was for $20,000. Yours had better have service records and make sure it has not been trying to push lane barriers off the interstate.

Yes, you are nuts! I guess we all are. We found a car we like and we are trying to make them run longer than the company expected. Maintenance is less than a mercedes and much more than a Toyota, but logic would suggest a Yugo. Go with your heart, because if you don't like a car you won't have it very long.
