S80 front end clunk S80

Experttech,

I just got finished checking out the car while I had it on ramps. I do not get any excess movement while moving the shafts from front to rear. I do get a light clinking when I move them into the gearbox and out of the gearbox. I am familiar with working on cars mainly Benzes & HD trucks. The noise I get is not contingent upon dircetion (left or right). It is only start, stop and over bumps. Speed or whether one side or the other is loaded does not chnage the noise. It is frustrating for me, since I am the one that everyone comes to for thier problems, but now I am being challenged by my own car. What are your thoughts?
