Autobox problems 850 1993

I have an 850 2.0se fitted with the aisin 50 42 Le autobox. Here is the problem, hope someone can offer a solution. L-3-D positions work perfect. N position drives in 1st gear. Reverse is non existant although the revs only go to 2000 and i believe it is trying to engage. Park appears to be fine i.e it locks but the revs again only go to 2000, almost as if it is trying to engage a gear at the same time as being parked. I am wondering if there could be some sort of blockage within the valve matrix and if anyone can recommend a product to flush out the valves without damaging any seals etc.
Thanks in advance for any help and sugestions.
