I've got a customer with a 99 that's doing the same thing. She's bringing it in next Wednesday. There are a few service bulletins that apply, one which refers to resonance noise transferring from the wheel through the strut spring and indicates an installation of insulator plates/spring seats. I intend to look at that, and a few other things while it is here. I'll let you know what I find.
