Sounds like you have a leak in the transmission cooler which runs through the radiator.
Were it mine, I'd pull a sample of the transmission fluid and send it overnight for a lab test. If it has coolant, you'll most likely have to put in a new radiator, and have your transmission flushed (probably a couple of times).
If it has been going on a long time, your transmission days may be numbered anyhow. You'll also have to have the cooling system flushed.
