Not all synthetics are equal V70-XC70

I haven't used Amsoil, but it is (also) my belief that all synthetics are not created equal. We recently had my wife's S40 filled with Redline synthetic, and it ran noticeably smoother than with Mobil 1. One thing I noticed about Mobil 1 is that the car always ran smoother immediately after an oil change (making me wonder if it was psychological compensation for spending 4X on the oil change), but the effect always diminished after a few thousand miles. It was nothing that an engine oil analysis could pinpoint, but it seemed real. The Redline seemed smooth for 10,000 miles. I'm going to try Amsoil on the first oil change in my V70 T5.
