Bull.

Probably the reason he asked is "you can't replace the serpentine from the top" It's not that difficult. Access is through the Right Front wheel. Remove the wheel and the cover behind the wheel (clips and screws) The reason you go through the right wheel area..The Crank pulley will need to come off to remove the belt because of clearance to the frame (great design Volvo) First you remove the tension from the belt(leverage and rotate the tensioner)and remove the belt off the top pulley. But you only asked where to access it.
