Left drive axle removal 850 1994

May I get advise on removing the right drive axle for my automatic 850. I got the splined shaft out from the steering knuckle but am having a difficult time pulling/prying the inner joint out from the transaxle. Am I missing something? Should I be prying harder? Any tricks in helping me get this SHAFT OUT? Astro-glide is not an option!!!!!!!
