Sudden Loss of Power and Flashing Check Engine Light 850

I was driving the 96 850GLT (110,000 miles) in town this morning when it felt and sounded like I lost a cylinder. The Check engine light started flashing and the engine continued to run rough with a noticable miss. Then about twenty seconds after it had started, the check engine light went to steady on and the miss went away.

I have driven the car three or four times since the miss and the car appears to be running normally. Starts right up and does not appear to be short any power.... The check engine light will not go out.

Anyone have an idea as to what caused this?? I am going to try to get with my local OBDII guy this afternoon or in the morning to see if there are any codes, but I thought someone on the board might be able to provide some information before then.
