I own a '96 850 Turbo that I purchased new. I have recently been having problems with a portion of my computer that provides information relative to number of miles to an empty fuel tank.
Previously the computer would illuminate an orange low fuel light when there were 50 miles to empty. In addition, the computer display would default to the numbers of miles to 50 and count-down to 0 in increments of 5.
Recently, my orange low fuel light only will come on intermittently when I have reached the 50 miles to empty point. In addition, the computer display will show the number of miles to empty inconsistently (25 miles at one point and then maybe 35 or 40 miles later once the car has been restarted) This part of the computer function does not seem to be correctly counting down 5 mile increments as well.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem with their computer, and if so, what was the fix? The other functions of the computer work fine.
