Help please! I filled up the fuel tank and it is leaking profusely. 850 1994

I filled up the tank on my 1994 850 for the first time since purchase and there is gasoline leaking from somewhere around either the top of the tank or around the inlet pipe. The guy I bought it from just had the sender(? the thing that is accessed throught the trunk under the third seat) replaced recently and said that once in a while he could smell gas from inside the cabin after that. I am guessing they are related but what parts/seals should I be looking for?
