PNP switch 850

I also own two 850's. Lotsa lights.
Check your codes with a code reader before doing anything with your PNP. I replaced mine after the "rapid shifting fix" seemed to stop working. Still same problem. Bought an OBDII reader and found out that a shift solenoid on the transmission was bad (not the PNP as originally thought). The 3rd gear problem was intermittent. Car is at Volvo facility now getting solenoid replaced ($480 parts & labor). On the other hand if it is the PNP, the part will cost apx $115 and if you're patient and a little handy, the instructions on Bay 13 are a good replacement guide.
