THE solution to that........................ 850

.........is a replacement ECU, NOT the knock sensors and/or new and improved wiring harness as per Volvos old SB on that.

I've seen this code with '94 850Ts (ONLY) at least a dozen times now where it's ALWAYS cured by replacing the ECU.

The SB which says to replace both knock sensors with improved wiring harness is unfortunately wrong as that never cures the problem. In the past, EVERYTIME I've seen a car where it had those knock sensors replaced with the latest SB kit, the car always returns with the exact same fault code.

Now....IF you can find a used ECU, they're going for about $250 which is far cheaper than a new one.
