Sticky knobs S70 1998

Is anyone else having a problem with most of the knobs on the dash and doors, ie. temp. controls, window lifts, door locks AC controls, etc. Mine are all sticky and melting away. I've tried cleaning them it just gets worse. May be my cleaning stuff but Its normal cleaner and it dosen't bother the other things on the dash or in other cars.
