Resetting Radio code 850

After disconnecting battery due to hazards being stuck on due to alarm accidently being tripped, the radio shut down. I recently got the code from a dealer, but the radio will not ask for the code, just says off. I have pulled the fuses. I have done the 2 hour thing.... killed battery again, but gave it another try, and waited the two hours. No go. Still just says off. Is there anything else I can do? AM I doing somehtign wrong?
