Transmission shifting problems. 850

Hi all,

I own a 1996 850R Auto with a rica ecu and have recently bee having to problems with the transmission. Within the last 2500 miles i changed my atf using a cheap dexron 3 brand.

The levels seem ok, even tho reading the volvo atf dip stick is hit and miss. The transmission runs fine/ makes no grinding or harsh noises and locks up. The problems is with the shifting. The seem to be much harder than before and when shifting it kicks into gear as opposed to the smooth seamless shift it would do before.

Ive also has instances when coming to a near dead stop then accelerating again, the trans goes into netrual then suddenly slips and clunks into gear. Its seems that the trans is getting confused.

any ideas?

Im gonna go back to using volvo atf, and test the throttle pos sensor.
