ABS/TRACs lights on - Sensor problem or so I am told S60 2001

Brought my car back to the authorised workshop. Got an 'expert' test driver to to try the car out. He, too, doubts it is a fault with the ABS sensor. Thing is that the grinding sounds come on without the brakes being pressed on. He also thinks that it could be the ABS module, and as Vitor has mentioned, he too is concerned that this is all happening at such a low milege. However, plugging into the Vardis does reaffirm that it is not an ABS module issue but the sensor (at least not yet). Finally, I struck a deal that I will have the front left ABS sensor replaced and if the problem is not fixed, I will not pay for the bill

Thanks for the feedback. It is positively reassuring to know there are people out there who do take the time to help out
